This site is all about a family perspective of vacationing on the beautiful gulf islands of Sanibel and Captiva.

We think the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva are the most beautiful in Florida, and are world renowned for their numerous and diverse collection of sea shells. Their beaches are literally littered with them!

Shelling (collecting sea shells off a beach) is just one of many activities Sanibel beaches offers up. Both Sanibel and Captiva are blessed with warm gulf stream breezes, ocean vistas, gorgeous sunsets, vibrant wild-life, a relaxed low-key atmosphere, and friendly people!

Our families love to take in the intoxicating gulf sea air - outdoor activities is our passion!

We have had awe inspiring experiences with a local Manatee (marine mammal) family while on a kayaking tour of the coast.

While traveling by boat charter to a small deserted island, a pod of dolphins gave the kids a "once in a life time" spectacle in the churning wake of the engine!

We take biking tours of the islands along the scenic pathways - you can even tour the local wild-life refuge by bike! But please pay attention to the alligator warnings...well okay, it's not that dangerous, but keep an eye on the kids all the same.

And of course, the days at the beach...whether it be building sand castles with the kids, floating in the surf, or sipping a wonderfully refreshing lemon flavored cold tea under the shade of a palm tree, letting the warm gulf breeze caress your face, with the hypnotic pounding of the surf echoing in your ears....hmmmm...
